ICI’s innovative Prefabricated Modular Housing system is a simple to construct, structurally sound, energy efficient and sustainable building product.
A key component of ICI’s composite panels is their unique thermoplastic fibre reinforced composite skin material. This skin, owned and manufactured exclusively by ICI, forms the outer layer of the panels and offers unmatched durability and strength to these lightweight panels. The special manufacturing process ensures the bonds between the fibres and thermoplastic material are nearly impenetrable. Impact resistant, impervious to water and made with 100% recyclable materials, the thermoplastic fibre reinforced composite skin material gives ICI’s EcoScape panels their incredible durability and versatility.
The shell of the homes can be assembled and weather tight in just days, allowing for the interior finishing to be completed out of the elements. This is particularly important in the winter months. Once in place, ICI’s EcoScape Panels are resistant to a mold, mildew, water damage, ice damage, insect infestation and many other conditions that have plagued other conventionally constructed, prefabricated and manufactured panel homes. Each of the durable EcoScape panels are highly insulated and provide an outstanding R-Value that allows them to be utilized in various weather conditions ranging from sub-zero temperatures to hot Canadian summers.
The panels impact resistant facings also make them an ideal product for a tough rural home site. Once delivered on site, general labourers can quickly assemble the lightweight panels without the need for special tools or skilled tradesman. Fastened together using a proprietary connection system and stainless steel screws, the panels are designed for easy disassembly and reassembly at another location if required with no degradation to performance. This system provides an extremely well constructed manufactured prefabricated modular home without the high costs associated with traditional housing systems.
